Anonymous: Hey sister, any plans for the summer?

I have a summer job lined up, watching and taking care of waddlers and toddlers (1-3 years old). I am also on the national/international deployment list for the Red Cross, but I am hoping for nothing major to occur (which means no disasters). If I am not called I will be happy. As of right now I am studying for the MCAT, which I will take in the summer… and applying to med schools in the summer. I’ll still be an EMT for my local non-profit ambulance corp as well.

Beyond that I would just like to camp outdoors with my boyfriend, and hang out in his neck of the woods. I’d like to see Furthur (band) with him, and I’d also like to go to the Paul Festival in Tampa. I take a late summer/early fall trip to North Carolina every year, to my beach house, so hopefully that will occur and give me some well-needed peace of mind.

Camping, fishing, surfing, swimming, hiking, wandering, helping, listening, being around awesome people, learning new things… I would love my summer to consist of that.

What about you?

illuminatichild: How do you find your sun, moon and rising signs? (I'm July 19th 1992)

You need to know as close to the time of your actual birth hour as possible, as well as your birth city (to increase accuracy), and then you go here: http://alabe.com/freechart/.

That site gives amazing explanations.

Anonymous: What are yu thinking about?

Right now I am laying down, thinking about my lover and about intimacy. I am chuckling at the thought of how he struggles to unhook my bra often, and how charming/endearing I find it. I’ll go to sleep with that thought.

lajoiedespetiteschoses: you have such a lovely blog!<3

Why, thank you for the beautiful compliment. Love & Light.

mickeymantle-deactivated2012042: To the anon who asked the question about Ron Paul, abortion and gay marriage -- it's a state issue to Ron Paul. We wouldn't be "losing an ally" in the White House. A Ron Paul presidential administration would leave it up to each state to either be pro-gay marriage or anti-gay marriage..or pro-life or pro-choice.You can look to the 9th and 10th amendment of the Constitution of the United States if you wonder why. Also, Obama has hardly been an "ally" to gay marriage. He's against it.

agreed, thank you for your input.

Anonymous: So if you believe that people are entitled to civil liberties like the freedom to marry and the right of a woman to control her own uterus, doesn't it bother you that Ron Paul has proven to be staunchly anti-choice and against same-sex marriage? I think that it is naive to think that abortion could never be made illegal. Without an ally in the White House and in Congress, we could take a major step backward. How can you support someone who could infringe on these civil liberties?

Non-issues, as I have said before, because I knew exactly where this was going to go, but I will bite anyway. Upon research, you’d find Paul is for State’s rights on both issues. He is personally pro-life, yes, but ultimately would let the decision fall to the State’s, which is Constitutional. He says the same for gay marriage. What do States rights mean? I’ll give an example. You know how New York legalized gay marriage? Under Paul, it would be impossible for the federal government to nullify those marriages. Under Paul, anyone in states not allowing gay marriage could go to New York to be married.

Remember when everyone once believed gay marriage was impossible, and would never be legalized? The same argument can be presented about abortion. Let the State’s have control. Do you really believe the majority of people in America would vote, in their State, to outlaw abortion?

Now… you seem to be confused at the base of these issues. The government can not give you “rights” - the government can not give you a right to marry someone of the same sex, or to do what you wish with your body. You have that right, as does everyone. You are born with rights, you do not earn them. The fact people can not get married to whom they want is directly because of the government having too much control, so why would I give the government more control? Why support the government “giving you rights”, when they first took them away? They should not have control in the first place. As I said before, I want the federal government out of my life, your life, and everyone’s life. A return to the Constitution, and a focus on State’s rights would help that so. Looking at every human being as an individual, and not groups, is how you achieve that.

Anonymous: Are you pro-choice or anti-choice? How about same-sex marriage?

Both non-issues to me, if looking at it from a political standpoint. I care more about the economy, debt, and wars.

My response to the same-sex marriage question can be explained quite simply: I want the government out of your business. I want the government out of marriage altogether. I certainly don’t care about who anyone decides to have sex with, or with how many people, or even if there’s a transaction afterwards. Behind closed doors, it is none of my business what any other person does.

The other issue is a bit harder to explain. I notice you typed “pro-choice or anti-choice,” by the way. The ‘issue’ of abortion to me has always, always been one of unimportance, simply because 1) it will never be made illegal, because so many in America are pro-choice and said politician would never reach a second term, and 2) it’s none of my business what any other person does, as said above.

Take that as you wish.

Pediatric calls as an EMT. Hearing it on the radio and jumping into the ambulance, my mind races a bunch more than for an adult call. The adrenaline rush is intense.

4. A hobby you “don’t get:” Golf. Sorry to the golf players out there. As a scientific mind I can appreciate the physics and mathematics of it… but as a sport, no.

14. A hobby you have/find interesting that other people bother you over/make fun of: Astrology! Mostly everyone made fun of me for liking astrology, especially within my science classes, but I really don’t see why it’s so asinine to believe the stars can influence someone’s personality. There are certain studies that may suggest, and people who believe, a woman’s menstrual cycle/fertility as well as a man’s semen parameters can be influenced by moon cycles. Complete lunar charts are certainly fascinating.
